Well, I never would have thought that I'd be asking an ex if they wanted to get married. I especially never thought that it would be Jaden Nightshade, after how our relationship had gone to shit. I'd heard that marriage equality might be on the chopping block, so I did the one thing I thought I would never do — I called Jaden up. One drink led to two, and after hearing that Jaden could only get a promotion if he was married, I offered to marry him. 

Will it last? Will I fall back in love with the man that broke my heart? Or will this second chance fall apart around me?

So my company just got a new CEO, which is great. We are getting new life in the office. The only downside is that David has some very old-fashioned views on promotions. In order to get the promotion that I’ve earned, I have to be married. Then, when all of a sudden a blast from my past swoops in, offering to help me get my promotion, I jump at it without thinking. Now I’m worrying about whether I made the right decision. 

Can I trust my heart around the man that I once loved? Can I get all I ever wanted and keep my heart intact? Or will my gamble fall through and leave me with nothing?
